Health Professions Scholarship The NMC Medical Staff is pleased to award scholarships to graduating seniors from Franklin County High Schools who are entering collegiate study in a health care field. This scholarship is not based on financial need — it is awarded based on a student’s academic performance and community service. One or more scholarships will be awarded each year, with one scholarship going to a student pursuing a career in nursing. The scholarships are funded through the Martin H. Wennar, MD, Health Education Fund. Each spring, NMC hosts the annual Health Professions Scholarship Dinner as the primary fundraising event to benefit this fund, and the scholarships are presented at this dinner.
