What is your Eligibility Status?

      • Full Time = 64 to 80 hours per pay period
      • Part Time = 40 to 63 hours per pay period
      • Per diem = as needed

Employees benefits will begin the first of the month following the date of hire.

Health Insurance – BCBS of Vermont

NMC is pleased to offer three medical plans for employees to choose from. Employees choose the plan that is a best fit for themselves and/or their families.  Employees who utilize NMC providers and services will have lower out of pocket costs. Eligibility:  Full Time and Part Time employees.

HealthyÜ Wellness Program

NMC’s HealthyU Wellness Program works to inspire and empower employees and their families to live healthier lives. We provide an array of activities and services to help you maintain or develop a healthy lifestyle you can be proud of. Free on-site therapeutic massages, on-site exercise classes, access to CSA shares, and so much more are offered. HealthyU is a voluntary wellness program in which employees and spouses complete core components such as biometric screenings, health assessment survey and wellness coaching with Certified Wellness Coaches to receive monetary incentives and health insurance premium discounts.  Eligibility:  All employees are encouraged to participate in wellness offerings. Full Time and Part Time employees are eligible for incentives and health insurance premium discounts.

Dental Insurance – North East Delta Dental

NMC is pleased to offer three dental plans for employees to choose from.  Employees choose the plan that is a best fit for themselves and/or their family members.  Benefits include cleanings, x-rays, restorative care including fillings, extractions and root canals.  Major care including crowns, on-lays, implants, bridges, dentures and orthodontia.  Eligibility:  Full Time and Part Time employees.

Vision Benefits – Vision Services Plan

NMC is pleased to offer a comprehensive vision plan for employees which includes eye exams, prescription glasses, including frames and lenses, contact lenses, plus savings on laser vision correction.  Eligibility:  Full Time, Flexible Full time and Part Time employees.

Life Insurance & Accidental Death & Dismemberment

100% funded by NMC at 1 times annual salary up to a maximum of $500,000.  AD&D doubles the benefit value if death results from an accident.  Eligibility:  Full Time employees.

Voluntary Short-Term Disability Insurance

100% employee funded. Benefit begins on the 8th day after the occurrence of a qualified disability. Benefit pays at 60% of current base rate of pay, including differentials to a maximum of $600 per week.  Eligibility: Full Time, Flexible Full time and Part Time employees.

Long-Term Disability Insurance

100% NMC funded. Benefit begins on the 90th day after the occurrence of a qualified disability. Benefit is 60% of monthly pay.  Eligibility:  Full Time and Part Time employees.

Voluntary Accident Coverage

100% employee funded.  Pays benefits to members for on and off the job accidents.  Coverage can be elected for employee, spouse and dependent children. Eligibility:  Full Time and Part Time employees.

Voluntary Critical Illness Coverage

100% employee funded.  Pays benefits to members who develop a critical illness.  Critical illnesses include cancer, heart attack, major organ failure and blindness.  Eligibility:  Full Time and Part Time employees.

Voluntary Pet Insurance

100% employee funded.  We love our pets and our pets are family.  That is why we will do what it takes to help your pet get the best care possible.  Pet insurance is a financial safety net for unexpected veterinary expenses.  Eligibility:  Full Time, Flexible Full time and Part Time employees.
 

Retirement Savings Plans

NMC cares about the financial future of our employees.  Each program has been carefully chosen to be comprehensive & provide opportunities for the employees to plan for a secure financial future.  Our program combines both a 403(b) Tax Sheltered Annuity and a 401(a) Money Purchase Pension Plan. 

  • 403(b) Tax Sheltered Annuity:  All employees are automatically enrolled upon hire.  NMC will match 50% of employee’s contributions up to 4% on a bi-weekly basis.  Contributions are 100% vested.
  • 401(a) Money Purchase Pension Plan (defined contribution plan):  NMC automatically contributes 3% of gross annual pay for all employees who work at least 1,000 hours during a calendar year.  Contributions are made on an annual basis.  This benefit has a step vesting schedule.

Earned Time

NMC offers a generous earned time off program that combines vacation time, holidays and sick time and personal days into one account to give you great flexibility and control in the management of your paid time off.  Eligibility:  Full Time and Part Time employees.

Tuition Reimbursement

NMC offers a Tuition Reimbursement Program supporting employees continuing education.  Eligibility:  available to all non-temporary employees.

Loan Repayment Program

NMC will pay $2,500 directly to you or your financial institution per year for up to 5 years in a row.  You must be an NMC employee for 1 year and work a minimum of 1040 hours per year to be eligible.  Eligibility:  Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Medical Technologist, Physical/Occupational Therapist and Pharmacist.
