Bashaw Fund Bowl-a-Thon Raises over $7,200

Thanks to generous sponsors and dedicated bowlers, this year’s Bowl-a-Thon to benefit NMC’s Jim Bashaw Cancer and Catastrophic Illness Fund raised over 7,200.

Prize winners included a Team Spirit award that went to the FCHHA Bulldogs in the first session and the NOTCH Tooth Fairies in the second session. The winners of the “biggest fundraiser” honors went ot Betty Lewis of FCHHA and Amy Davenport of Superior Technical Ceramics.

Pam Jacobs of NOTCH won the raffle and the Ave Maria/Our Lady of the Meadow Teams won a Premier Signs and Graphics-Welcome sign.

The Bashaw Fund provides financial assistance to people in Franklin and Grand Isle counties who are struggling with cancer or a catastrophic illness. This fund helps people of all ages with things like transportation to medical appointments and out of pocket medical expenses.

This year, the Bowl-a-thon was proudly sponsored by Champlain Insuring, Jolley, Husky, Pizza Hut, Handy Cars,  Vermont Federal, Harrison Concrete, Superior Ceramics, Bokan. Thank as well to the companies who sponsored teams in the event, including: Myers Container, NOTCH, FCHHA, Ave Maria Care Homes and thanks to Mystic Waters, Mill River Brewing, and Premier Signs and Graphics for donating prizes!

Thanks to those sponsorships, 100 percent of your donations will go to help individuals from Franklin and Grand Isle Counties cope with cancer or catastrophic illness.
