Work Progressing Quickly on Medical Office Building

The two-story Medical Office Building at the front of NMC’s campus is progressing quickly as interior construction work now focuses on interior finishing including painting, flooring and the installation of cabinets and other woodwork. Exterior work on landscaping around the building has started as well.

The building is on track to open later this summer, and will bring four busy services conveniently under one roof at NMC. NMC’s Outpatient Lab, Northwestern Orthopaedics, Northwestern Primary Care and the St. Albans clinic of Northwestern Urgent Care will all be housed in this glass-fronted building.

Northwestern Primary Care and Urgent Care both move out of the Cobblestone Health Commons Building while Northwestern Orthopaedics relocates from Doctors Office Commons.

NMC’s Outpatient Lab is also currently located in Doctor’s Office Commons. That service had to temporarily relocate from its home in the main hospital building while NMC built the Medical Clinics addition. Patients needing bloodwork and other outpatient lab services will be seen in the new space once the MOB opens in August.

Nearby parking will make the Medical Office Building a convenient entry point for patients and visitors, and will offer a great deal of handicapped accessible parking spots. Patients and visitors will be able to travel from the MOB, through the clinics addition and into the main hospital building without going outside.
