Beginning July 11, NMC’s main front entrance will be closed for construction. For all non-emergency visits and procedures, patients and visitors will enter the hospital through the Conference Center entrance. 

This key change alters traffic flow on our campus, as the main road leading to our front entrance and our emergency entrance will be closed. 

Emergency vehicles will use Crest Road to travel around the hospital to the Emergency Department. Patients, visitors, vendors and staff will also use Crest Road to access parking and the Conference Center entrance/Temporary Entrance. 

The Conference Center parking lot will be dedicated to our patients during this temporary entrance change, which lasts until October. 

Why Move the Entrance?

This milestone marks the start of work on our lobby renovations and two new buildings at the front of campus. This construction zone will encompass the main NMC access road as well as some parking areas. 

These exciting changes are key components of our Master Facility Plan construction that includes: 

• Private rooms for our inpatients
• A new main entrance for efficient, convenient registration
• A new multi-specialty medical office building to house Primary Care, Urgent Care, Orthopaedics and more. 
• A new clinics building to house Cardiology, Pulmonology, Obstetrics, Gynecology
