Medical Clinics Building Gearing Up for April Opening

Work on the new Medical Clinics Building is advancing quickly as NMC readies the space for an April opening. This building sits adjacent to the main hospital building and will be the permanent home for cardiology, pulmonology and OBGYN services.

This addition will be accessed through the hospital lobby where a new centralized registration area will also be located. Northwestern Cardiology and Pulmonology will move into the new building from their temporary location in Doctors Office Commons. These two practices moved offsite at the start of construction last spring.

Northwestern OB/GYN will move to the new building as well, which brings these family-oriented services nearer to the Family Birth Center in the main building. Northwestern OB/GYN is currently located in Doctors Office Commons.

Eventually the Medical Clinics Building will be connected to the nearby, two-story Medical Office Building. That space opens in mid-July, and so until that time, the only entrance to the Clinics Building is via the hospital’s main entrance.

Bloodwork Patients:

  • Outpatient Lab Still at Doctors Office Commons: Patients needing bloodwork services should visit the Outpatient Lab at the #1 suite of Doctors Office Commons. The outpatient lab moved to this temporary location at the start of construction, and remains there until mid-July.
