Beginning Wednesday, December 21, patients and visitors will once again use the front entrance at NMC as the hospital re-opens the newly renovated lobby and entrance.

The front entrance has been closed since the summer and visitors to the main building had been re-routed through the Conference Center entrance at NMC.

Effective the morning of December 21^st, the parking lots along Fairfield Street will be open for use along with the main driveway that takes patients and Emergency Services vehicles past the main entrance. It is important to note that the main roadway that loops around to the Emergency Department has been widened to allow for two-way traffic.

Patients and visitors using the new, larger porte cochere, and larger glassed-in vestibule will appreciate the lobby’s open design, stonework, and reclaimed woodwork. A new gift shop is one of the highlights of the new space, which also includes offices for NMC’s Concierge team, the Security team and a valet service – to begin operation later this year.  

NMC’s Outpatient Lab will remain in its temporary location of Doctors Office Commons #1. Patients needing blood drawn or other blood-work may park directly outside this suite in the Doctors Office Commons parking lot just off Crest Road.
