Northwestern Urgent Care, Cobblestone & Doctors Office Commons are Open and Accessible

As the site work of Northwestern Medical Center’s construction project continues behind the hospital, changes within the hospital are beginning that will accommodate upcoming renovations.  Northwestern Cardiology and Pulmonology moved from their space near the front entrance of the hospital to Suite 10 of Doctors Office Common on June 17 and are now seeing patients in their new location.  NMC’s Outpatient Laboratory will be moving to Suite 1 of Doctors Office Common on June 27.  Once that Laboratory service has relocated on June 27, individuals needing blood drawn will go directly to Suite 1 of Doctors Office Common rather than entering the main entrance of the hospital.

Amidst construction, Northwestern Urgent Care and other services and practices in Cobblestone Health Commons and Doctors Office Common remain open and accessible to vehicle traffic.

A new 56-car parking lot for NMC employees opened on the east side of NMC’s campus on June 15. This clears parking spaces near the hospital itself and Cobblestone Health Commons for patients and visitors.

There is no longer through-traffic vehicle access to NMC buildings through the Northwestern Counseling and Support Services entrance on Fisher Pond Road.  Only NCSS’s facilities and NMC’s employee parking lots can be accessed through that entrance. All vehicle access to NMC’s main campus, including the hospital itself, Northwestern Urgent Care and Cobblestone Health Commons, and Doctors Office Commons now comes from Fairfield Street, via the hospital’s main entrance and Crest Road entrance.  The Fairfield Street construction is not restricting access at those entrances.
