Changes to COVID-19 Testing for Patients
Northwestern Medical Center will be shutting down its curbside COVID-19 collection site at Valley Crossroads in St. Albans on June 1. This is made possible by the significant reduction in need for COVID-19 testing due to the prevalence of vaccine in the area and the ability to safely conduct specimen collection for COVID-19 testing within primary care offices.
Beginning June 1, patients will be referred to their Primary Care Provider for the specimen collection for COVID-19 testing. Patients can also have specimen collected for testing on a walk-in basis at either location of Northwestern Urgent Care. Patients can also be scheduled for a COVID-19 specimen collection for testing at the NMC Outpatient Lab, with this service available on weekday afternoons.
For more information, please speak to your primary care provider. If you need a primary care provider, please call NMC’s Community Relations Office at (802) 524-1280 for referral.
