Marissa joins NMC after earning her M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY.  She was born here at NMC and grew up in St. Albans.  She chose NMC because it holds a deep personal significance for her.  She feels a strong sense of purpose giving back to a community that helped shape who she is. 

When asked why she got into her field, Marissa said “I chose to specialize in podiatry and wound care as a Physician Assistant because I was drawn to a field where I could make an immediate impact on patient’s quality of life.  Our feet play a critical role in mobility, independence, and overall health.”  Marissa is passionate about providing accessible, patient-centered care that truly makes a difference in people’s lives.  She loves having the opportunity to educate and empower patients.

In her spare time, Marissa enjoys going for walks with her Springer Spaniel puppy, playing card games with her family, and watching football with her partner #GoBills!
