Welcome to Pediatric Inpatient Services

The Northwestern Medical Center Pediatric inpatient service is a dedicated team of providers: Katie Shattuck, PNP and Dr. Colleen Moran. Together, this team is available 24/7 to provide care to a variety of pediatric patients. This includes newborn care, pediatric consults in the emergency room, and pediatric patients that require observation/admission to the hospital.  At the Family Birth Center along with our dedicated nurses we provide inpatient/hospital care for your youngest loved one through adolescents. Our providers communicate and work closely with your outpatient primary care provider to help ease the transition from the emergency department or inpatient pediatric service to home

Nursery / Newborn Care

Our pediatric providers are available for routine newborn care as well as supporting infants that might require additional treatment. As an expecting family you might meet our providers before, during, or after the delivery of your newest family member.

Pediatric Care

Our pediatric providers are available for consultation in the Emergency Department and if necessary for admission. Our goal is to provide family centered and evidence-based care for each of our patients. When it is appropriate, we strive to keep families within their community hospital and can safely care for patients with a variety of conditions such as bronchiolitis, asthma exacerbation, influenza, IV antibiotics, IV hydration, and newborn jaundice, just to name a few.

Pediatric Developmental Clinic

NMC is partnering with Northwestern Counseling & Support Services to create a Developmental Clinic for the pediatric population. For more information about the clinic, click here.
