NMC Receives 70 Quilts for Patients

Northwestern Medical Center was recently honored with a gift from the Southern Vermont Chapter of Project Linus – an amazing 70 hand-made quilts that were part of a distribution to Vermont hospitals. Project Linus donates blankets to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are ill, traumatized or otherwise in need.

These quilts from Project Linus are just one part of the generous spirit of creative Vermonters: NMC is blessed by the donation of quilts for the hospital’s comfort care and breast care programs each year. These quilts are created by NMC volunteer Bonnie Evans, who is a member of the Franklin County Quilter’s Guild.

“We are fortunate to have such an amazing level of community support for our patients at NMC,” said CEO Jill Berry Bowen. “The loving care evident in these quilts is amazing to see and will certainly be a comfort.”
