Board of directors
Healthcare is a complex environment, making hospital Board service challenging and demanding. We are thankful for the time and expertise our Board Members invest in our hospital and our community.
NMC is governed by a 12-member volunteer Board of Directors. Eleven of the Board Members are elected by the community members who serve on NMC’s Board of Incorporators. The twelfth NMC Board Member is the President of the Medical Staff, who is elected by our physicians.
Current NMC Board Members:
President: Barb Toof, of St. Albans. Ms. Toof is a banker at Peoples Trust Company.
Vice President: Corey Parent of St. Albans. Mr. Parent is a business consultant.
Secretary: Erin Creley, of St. Albans Town. Ms. Creley is the St. Albans District Director of the Vermont Department of Health.
Treasurer: Karyn Rocheleau, of St. Albans. Ms. Rocheleau is retired and is a former owner of a Training & Consulting Company.
President of the Medical Staff: Lowrey Sullivan, MD. Dr. Sullivan is an OBGYN at NMC.
Past President: John Casavant, of St. Albans. Mr. Casavant is a Risk Management and Insurance professional with NFP.
Coleen Bruyette, of St. Albans Town. Ms. Bruyette is the owner and administrator of Suncrest Healthcare Communities.
Meredith Roberts, PhD, RN, of Fairfax. Ms. Roberts is an adjunct professor at Vermont State University.
Vaughn Comeau, of Berkshire. Mr. Comeau is an attorney with a concentration in real estate, probate, and corporate practice.
Gregory Sargent, of St. Albans Town. Mr. Sargent is a founding shareholder of Kittell, Branagan & Sargent.
Brittany Greene, of Fairfax. Ms. Greene is the Controller at Vermont Electric Cooperative.
Meetings
The NMC Board meets on a monthly basis with numerous committee meetings throughout the month.
Affiliations
NMC has a management contract with Ovation Healthcare, a national consulting firm with expertise in rural and community hospitals.
