The Community Partners Classic golf tournament marks 10 years of collaborative teamwork this year, and registration is now open for the June 17 event. The collaborative tournament is held at the Champlain Country Club in Swanton.
The tourney is a unique partnership, benefitting three community partners: Northwestern Medical Center, Northwestern Counseling & Support Services and the United Way of Northwest Vermont. These three organizations often work together in various capacities to care for the wide range of health and human service needs of the people of northwestern Vermont.
NMC is a vibrant, primary care, community hospital, whose small size brings a family feel to a modern facility with high-tech equipment. The United Way of Northwest Vermont’s mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of the Franklin, Grand Isle and Chittenden County communities. Northwestern Counseling & Support Services is a human services agency serving Franklin and Grand Isle Counties that provides intervention and support to children, teens, and adults with emotional and behavioral problems, mental illness and intellectual disabilities.
The Community Partners Classic features two flights of golfers, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon, and a fantastic mid-day meal for all golfers of both flights to enjoy together. Golfers can win prizes throughout the course and play at various contests including a Beat the Pro hole, closest to the pin, longest drive, closest to the line and more.
Supporting sponsors for this year’s tournament are A.N. Deringer, NFP, and Peoples Trust Company with Bernstein Global Wealth Management serving as the Luncheon Sponsor.
