Northwestern Medical Center was recognized with Silver and Gold Lamplighter Awards from the New England Society for Healthcare Communications (NESHCo), recognizing NMC’s internal communications and an innovative marketing initiative for the Northwestern Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation Center.
The Silver Award recognized NMC for proactive and positive staff communications and the Gold Award recognized an engaging community-based, social-media driven photo contest that highlighted the concept of “mobility” and raised awareness of the orthopaedics practice’s new identity and integrated approach to care.
“Our community relations team is proud to support the exceptional care provided by NMC,” said Jonathan Billings, NMC’s Vice President of Community Relations & RiseVT. “Having our work recognized by colleagues at the New England level for excellence and creativity brings added satisfaction to the effort.”
The Lamplighter Awards recognize outstanding healthcare marketing and public relations. Awards were presented at the New England Society for Healthcare Communications annual conference. The 2019 competition totaled 381 entries across more than 20 healthcare marketing and public relations categories from hospitals in all six New England States, including large academic medical centers and those in metropolitan areas. They are judged by a panel of healthcare marketing experts. Only one Gold and one Silver award are given in each category.
