NMC Returns to Normal Operations – Boil Water Order Still in Effect

Water pressure at NMC has returned to a functional level and remained stable since the City of St. Albans fixed the second, large water main break overnight.

While the hospital remains under the boil water order, we have reinstated the use of our facilities across the hospital at Cobblestone Health Commons and at our Physician Practices in Doctor’s Office Commons.

NMC and all our patient care units, departments and practices are open and fully staffed. We appreciate the flexibility of our employees who worked from home or who stayed home to ensure the availability of our water resources.

We remain under the boil water notice which means that extra hand-washing precautions must be used by our staff and by visitors and patients. After washing with tap water, alcohol-based sanitizer should be used at the hospital.

We appreciate the devotion to patient care, creativity and flexibility shown by NMC staff during this incident. We would also like to extend a huge note of thanks to the St. Albans City Public Works Department for all their hard work, as well as the support we’ve received from colleagues locally and at the state level.
