What do you do here?

I help to orchestrate different aspects of outpatient care for our cardiology and pulmonology patients.

How does your role at NMC contribute to exceptional care?

I strive to ensure that patients understand different parts of their care- from results, medication side effects, testing, procedures, etc. I want to make sure they have whatever they need to succeed at home.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I love the amount of different patients, family members, providers and other staff I get to communicate with in a day. It’s never a dull moment!

What’s a good day at work look like to you?

A good day consists of answering all patient questions and helping to alleviate any fears or anxiety they have related to their care.

What do you like to do for fun?

I love spending time with my family. My 2 little boys (ages 2 and 5) keep me plenty busy! When I’m not running around with them, I love to curl up in bed and read a good book.

You’re stranded on a desert island and can bring only three things with you – what are they?

My family, water and our pups!

What historic figure would you have dinner with and why?

I would love to have dinner with Florence Nightingale to discuss what her vision of nursing was and how if compares to the nursing culture currently.

What would your perfect day off be like?

The perfect day off would be on a nice September day, around 68 degrees and sunny. My kids and I would spend all day outside, going for walks or maybe a trip to the lake for an adventure.

What was the last thing you ate?

Turkey dinner from the cafeteria

Who was your favorite teacher and why?

My 5th/6th grade teacher, Mrs. Belrose, she was always encouraging me to do the absolute best that I could. She was vibrant, fun and always laughing.
