Lung Cancer Awareness Month is coming up in November. NMC is going to be offering a lung cancer screening day on 11/8/25! To schedule an appointment call  (802) 524-1058. Limited spots are available.

Lung Cancer Screening is recommended for those at “high risk” and meet the following criteria:

• 50-80 years old (55-77 with Medicare)
• Have at least a 20 pack-year history of smoking cigarettes (1 pack per day x 20 years, 2 packs per day x 10 years, etc.)
• Must be a current smoker or have quit within the last 15 years.

What do you need to do to prepare for you screening?

• Contact your primary care to discuss benefits, and limits of screening with a Low Dose CT scan.
• Check with your insurance provider to see if you need a referral for the screening.
• Once an order has been received by your PCP, a member of the NMC scheduling team will contact you to schedule your screening.
