COO Jonathan Billings Becomes Board Certified Fellow of ACHE

Jonathn Billings, Chief Operating Officer at Northwestern Medical Center, recently became Board Certified as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the nation’s leading professional society for healthcare leaders.

“The healthcare management field plays a vital role in providing high-quality care to the people in our communities, which makes having a standard of excellence promoted by a professional organization critically important,” says Deborah J. Bowen, FACHE, CAE, President and CEO of ACHE.

Fellow status represents the achievement of high standard of professional development. Candidates must meet academic and experiential criteria; earn continuing education hours; demonstrate professional and community volunteer involvement; and pass a comprehensive examination.

“I appreciate those who encouraged and supported me in this effort, especially former NMC interim CEO Wes Oswald, who recommended it back in the day; former NMC CEO Dean French, MD, who motivated me to pursue it; and NMC’s current CEO Peter J. Wright, FACHE who supported me in completing it,” said Billings. “I have been blessed to have enjoyed a long career in healthcare and this is nice recognition of what I bring to that service.”
