NMC’s Auxiliary Membership Meets
On Thursday, April 11, NMC’s Auxiliary Board and Membership held one of their regular meetings from 11:30 am – 1 pm in the conference center.
The Auxiliary membership meets four times a year in September, November, February and April. Members at last week’s meeting enjoyed a delicious meal provided by NMC’s Restaurant and Catering Department. The guest speaker was Manager of Care Management at NMC, Amanda Wilson. The session concluded with a regular business meeting.
During the business portion of the meeting, the membership voted to make a donation of $2,000 to the finance department to support the purchase of a new computer to handle point of sale transactions during employee events using a system that allows staff to pay for purchases by payroll deduction. The Activities Committee is one of the most frequent users of the computer, alongside the Auxiliary itself, and was very appreciative of the improvement in speed and efficiency that is made possible by the Auxiliary’s support.
Also during the meeting, the Board and President Maris Rock, reported on the various areas of responsibility for the Auxiliary, which has a mission of supporting Northwestern Medical Center through fundraising and positive community relations.
New Auxiliary members are always welcome. Please contact the Auxiliary/Volunteer office at Northwestern Medical Center at 524-1055 if you are interested in becoming a member or volunteering for your local community hospital.
