St. Albans, VT (May 28, 2026) — Five Franklin County high school seniors were recently awarded scholarships towards their healthcare-related degree programs from the Martin H. Wennar, MD Health Education Fund.

The $4,000.00 scholarships will be presented to the students at their schools’ graduation celebrations.

 

The 2026 recipients are:

• Leigh Brown, from BFA Fairfax, who will be studying Nursing.
• Millie Davis, from MVU, who will be studying Health Sciences.
• Annabelle Elwood, from EFHS, who will be studying Nursing.
• Ethan LaPlume, from BFA St. Albans, who will be studying Pharmacy.
• Riley Tierney, from BFA Fairfax, who will be studying Nursing.

Each year, the Martin H. Wennar Health Professions Scholarships are presented to graduating high school seniors entering collegiate studies in a healthcare field. Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and community service.
