Throughout your journey, you’ll be supported by providers working as one coordinated team, along with the nurses and care teams at NMC’s Family Birth Center during labor, delivery, and recovery.

Who is Maitri?
Based in South Burlington, VT, Maitri is an established, all-women practice of experienced physicians and certified nurse-midwives committed to providing thoughtful, relationship-based care. Through a partnership with NMC, Maitri is joining NMC’s OB/GYN team and providing care at NMC, helping strengthen local care and expand access to personalized women’s healthcare.

Many patients choose to deliver at Northwestern Medical Center’s Family Birth Center, where experienced labor and delivery nurses work alongside your obstetric provider to provide compassionate, family-centered care.
The Family Birth Center offers private labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum rooms, support for your chosen birth partner, breastfeeding resources, and personalized care in a welcoming environment designed with families in mind.

Yes. Whether you’ve recently moved, your provider has retired, or you’re looking for a different care experience, we’re happy to discuss transferring your prenatal care. We’ll help coordinate your medical records and make the transition as smooth as possible.
