Registration is now open for the 12th Annual Community Partners Classic Golf Tournament on Friday, June 15 at the Champlain Country Club in Swanton. The tournament is a collaborative event that benefits three community partners: Northwestern Medical Center, Northwestern Counseling and Support Services and United Way of Northwest Vermont.
These partners work together in various capacities to care for the wide range of health and human service needs of the people in our community. NMC is a vibrant, primary care, community hospital, whose small size brings a family feel to a modern facility with high-tech equipment. United Way’s mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of local communities. Northwestern Counseling and Support Services is a human services agency serving Franklin and Grand Isle Counties that provides intervention and support to children, teens, and adults with emotional and behavioral problems, mental illness and developmental disabilities.
The Community Partners Classic features two flights of golf; one in the morning and the other in the afternoon, and a fantastic mid-day meal for all golfers to enjoy together. Prizes are offered throughout the course at various contests including closest to the pin, longest drive, closest to the wavy line and the ever-popular black-jack table. Off the course, golfers can try their luck at the 50/50 raffle or take part in the tournament’s famous Wine Grab.
Special thanks to this year’s supporting sponsors: NFP, A.N. Deringer, and Peoples Trust Company.
