COVID Resource Center Moves to Valley Crossroads Monday 9/13

The St. Albans COVID-19 Resource Center is relocating on Monday, September 13, to the Valley Crossroads Building at 27 Fisher Pond Road. This State-sponsored, NMC-operated resource provides free COVID-19 testing and vaccination to anyone in the community. While staff will do their very best to move as quickly as possible, they do ask the public’s patience with what may be extended wait times as they adapt to their new workspace and processes.

With the move to Valley Crossroads, the COVID-19 testing will now be done on a drive-through basis. Cars will form around a line behind the building and drivers will be instructed by signage to call a dedicated number to check-in. Vaccination will be done inside the building, with exterior signage indicating the proper entrance. The Resource Center is currently open five days a week, with weekend and evening hours: Monday – 10am to 2pm for testing only; Wednesday – vaccination 10am to 6pm, testing – 2pm to 6pm; Thursday – 2pm to 6pm for both testing and vaccination; Friday – 10am to 2pm for both testing and vaccination; and Saturday – 10am to 2pm for testing and vaccination. The Resource Center is currently closed on Tuesdays and Sundays. Additional capacity will be added should the demand for services increase.

Individuals should register for either a testing appointment or a vaccination appointment through the State’s website at: https://www.healthvermont.gov/covid-19/testing/where-get-tested  For help creating an account or registering for a test, please call 802-863-7240 (select option 9, then option 3). While walk-ins are technically possible, they will result in much longer wait times. People with scheduled appointments will be prioritized ahead of walk-ins. Availability of walk-in slots is not guaranteed, as they depend on the volume of scheduled appointments.
