DESCRIPTION:We’re hosting our 28th Annual Bashaw Fund Bowl-a-Thon this April and thanks to our sponsors\, 100 percent of your donations benefit people in Franklin and Grand Isle Counties dealing with cancer or catastrophic illness. \nCome enjoy some bowling with friend and family to support a great cause! There is a $50 minimum per bowler to participate and that donation includes bowling shoes\, two games\, pizza\, refreshments and prizes! \nThere are two sessions to choose from – you can bowl at 11 am\, or at 2 pm. \nDuring 2018\, 155 grants totaling $71\,785 were awarded. DESCRIPTION:Cobblestone Building\nTuesdays and Thursdays 5:30pm-6:15pm\n$40/monthly or $80 for all 8 weeks\nThe “All Levels of Fitness” class is focused for individuals that would prefer working in a small class setting under the guidance of a Certified Health Professional. This class will offer a perfect combination of strength & cardiovascular training as well as flexibility. We will work together rotating through various exercise stations and you will determine the intensity of your exercise.  Our goal is to progress you safely through many of the essential strength training maneuvers\, paying close attention to proper mechanics. You will master each technique as you advance through the program on your way to increased strength and confidence. At the conclusion of this 8-week program we will encourage you to join a local gym or just re-enroll for another session until you are ready to be on your own. Our familiarity with our local gyms and the partnerships we have developed will make for an easy transition no matter where you choose to continue your fitness goals. The dance class is designed to engage participants’ minds and bodies through many styles of dance\, while exploring stretching\, muscle strengthening\, postural stability\, and rhythm through instruction and energizing music. The class is offered in a relaxed social environment that emphasizes enjoyment\, fun and creativity\, with an eye towards connecting with the community. No Dance experience required. No fees charged but a donation is always appreciated to cover transportation costs for the instructor.

DESCRIPTION:Pre-Registration required: Call Doug @ 802-644-8310 \nCourse fee: $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-members \nThis 4 hour refresher course is open to all drivers 50 years and older. The curriculum addresses the normal physical changes brought on by the aging process\, how these changes can affect driving ability and then offers ways to compensate for those changes. The course also addresses changes in vehicles\, regulations and roads. Participants will also learn how to interact with other road users\, including truckers\, bikers\, pedestrians and distracted drivers.
