Starting Monday, September 26, NMC’s Gift Gallery will close for renovation work in the main lobby.

At the start of NMC’s construction, the Gift Gallery moved from its spot in the main lobby, to a smaller, temporary location near the elevators to the Family Birth Center. The renovation of the main entrance is progressing quickly, and the area near NMC’s switchboard and the temporary gift shop will now go under work.

The gift shop will remain closed for just two weeks and reopen in early October. We appreciate your patience with this temporary inconvenience as we make our hospital an even better place for care and service.

When the new main entrance opens in early December, NMC will unveil a more spacious Gift Gallery that is 363 square feet in size. Other main entrance improvements include a larger porte cochere for easier drop-offs and pick-ups at the front doors, a new information station to greet patients and visitors, a security office and a new switchboard.  

The new main entrance will eventually feature access to more centralized registration. The new registration area, however , will be ready for use later in the lifetime of the construction project. Work will continue near the new main entrance on both the Medical Clinics and Medical Office Building, including the new registration area.
