If you can't breathe well, nothing else matters. That's why we keep the NMC Respiratory Therapy Department open 24/7. We provide a variety of inpatient and outpatient respiratory services to keep our community breathing easy.

Key Services

The Respiratory Therapists on our team are a critical component of NMC’s Clinical Services, serving patients on an inpatient or outpatient basis.  

Outpatient testing is available with an order from your physician or provider, and includes:

• Pulmonary Function Tests
• Holter Monitoring
• EKG's
• Home Oxygen Qualification and Nebulizer Setup

Inpatient care is provided in all areas of our hospital, from caring for newborns with breathing issues to disease treatment for all ages, to supporting end of life care.  Our Respiratory Therapists play critical roles on our Rapid Response, Code, and Stroke Teams.   Inpatient therapies include:

• Aerosol and Bronchial Hygiene by Therapist-Driven Protocols
• Invasive and Noninvasive Ventilator Management and Transport using Therapist-Driven Protocols
• Diagnostic Testing
• Patient Education for Disease Management and Proper Medication Use
