NMC Offers Health ScholarshipsNorthwestern Medical Center (NMC) invites graduating seniors entering collegiate studies in a health care field to apply for the Martin H. Wennar Health Professions Scholarships. Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and community service. Generally, two to three applicants will be awarded $1,000 scholarships each. Applications are available in guidance departments of area high schools, and the deadline to submit completed applications is May 5, 2006.
Scholarships will be awarded at the 20th Annual Health Professions Scholarship Dinner, which will be held on June 2nd at the Champlain Country Club. Governor Jim Douglas will be the guest speaker for this “black-tie optional” affair. Tickets are $50 per person. Donations to the Martin H. Wennar Health Education Scholarship Fund to help support future scholarships will be graciously accepted as well.
