General Surgeon to Join NMC's Staff
Dr. Andrew Rogers, a Board-Certified General Surgeon with over twenty years in practice, will be joining the Northwestern Medical Center staff in June.
Dr. Rogers is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Society of American Gastro-Endoscopic Surgeons. He comes to NMC from Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada, Missouri. Dr. Rogers earned his Medical Degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He did his internship and post-graduate training at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Via Christi (St. Francis) Regional Medical Center, in Wichita, Kansas.
“We are pleased to have a contract with Dr. Rogers,” said Jonathan Billings, NMC’s Director of Planning & Community Services. “His arrival in June will provide for a smooth transition in our community as Dr. Michelle Sowden leaves for her Fellowship at Yale.”
By choosing to come to St. Albans, Dr. Rogers has the opportunity to participate in the NMC Cancer Program, which recently received “Accreditation with Commendation” from the American College of Surgeons.
