Position Title: Emergency Department Technician, #09-95

Department:Emergency Department
Position Description: Plans and implements assigned patient care in collaboration with the Nursing Staff in the Department. Essential functions for an Emergency Department Technician include direct patient care for patients of all age groups and under a wide variety of circumstances. Computer use for documentation, Stocking of the supplies in the stock room and Emergency Department rooms.

Shift Time Schedule:Availability to work all shifts required.Average Weekly Hours:Variable hrs/wk.
Days:No on-call duty required. Weekends required as needed
Salary Range:Minimum:$12.67Midpoint:Maximum:$13.94
The above wage range reflects the minimum and maximum hiring range for this position.

    Qualifications:
    Education:High School Graduate or equivalent required.
    Special Skills:The Emergency Department/Intermediate Care Technician must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. Identifies each patient’s age specific needs and provide the care needed by the pediatric, adolescent, and/or geriatric patient group.
    License Required:Must possess Nursing Assistant Certification within 6 months of employment or current ECA Certification.
