 | Education: | Credentialing: 1) Board eligible. Certified in a primary specialty (EM, Family Practice, Surgery), 2) Obtain/maintain with current ACLS Certification. All candidates should demonstrate interest in and understanding of Emergency Medical Service Systems (EMSS) in general and Vermont EMS District 1 in particular, including their responsibility for medical control of pre-hospital care. Specific orientation for the Emergency Department. |
 | Special Skills: | The Emergency Department physician must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. He or she must be able to assess and interpret data about the patient’s status in order to identify each patient’s age specific needs and provide the care needed by the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric patient group. |
