Surgical Services 
A complete overhaul of NMC's Surgical Services department was completed in 2002, and was designed with patient privacy and comfort in mind. Our Operating Room offers expertise in general surgery, orthopedics, urology, podiatry, ophthalmology, otolaryngology and gynecology. Our Outpatient Dept. provides endoscopic services. A physician-based Pain Clinic also operates within our suite.
Pediatric patients receive a little extra special attention when they come for surgery to help ease their anxiety. During the pre-operative visit, one of our nurses will provide a pictorial tour of the Operating Room, with explanation of the process at each picture. Before they leave, each child will receive a coloring book depicting Operating Room scenes to take home with them. On the day of surgery, each child will be greeted by a special new friend that they can take to surgery and then bring home with them when they are discharged.
